Margate 2309

We had a great time at the Kingston Plantation, our go-to resort in Myrtle Beach. This time we stayed at the 2309 Penthouse at the Margate Towers. It's a beautiful property with 4 nice bedrooms, 3 full baths, and more than enough living room and kitchen space for two families. We stayed here back in 2016 too, and loved it. The unit is starting to age a bit (leather sectional is starting to peel and needs replaced, as do the carpets in the bedrooms), but everything else was perfect. Melanie and her devoted staff at Palmetto Vacations were a joy to deal with, as usual. We will be back!

The condo was right on the beach and had all of the amenities we needed. Loved the mud room as a separate entry so that we could wash off the sand before entering the living space. Loved the layout of the condo in general, and the many balconies with incredible views.

July 2018 Stay

Was a really great vacation. Beautiful resort! Mild maintenance issues initially but were addressed fairly quickly. Would definitely return to this property.

Nice clean well appointed property. The checkin process is over complicated, but the people are nice. There was one room that had not been cleaned and the cleaning service was called out immediately to rectify.

Really appreciate the amenities of the property and direct beach access. Also appreciate all the pots, pans, utensils, etc that made our stay a lot more comfortable. The property was able to accommodate a party of 8, which was a breath of fresh air. Mold in shower was off putting. Each toilet was sealed as sanitized which was nice. I just wish that emphasis was put on the showers as well. The towel bar in the front bathroom is still "broken" from last year. The shower head in the front bathroom sprays water everywhere and most likely is contributing to the peeling paint. Kitchen light takes 2 hours to "warm up" (annoying). Sectional moves all over the place. Seems like a quick was put in to attach them but it’s ineffective. Let there be LIGHT in the living and dining rooms.

I rented the property via VRBO, but soon realized it was better communicating directly with PVR. Property was great. Our only concern was the responses from maintenance when one of the TVs didn’t work. There response was to search for extra batteries in a kitchen drawer. There were none, so just did without the TV. No big deal.

Great location and we’ll maintained.
