Myrtle Beach is a popular tourist destination. The South Carolina haven provides travelers with 60 miles of beaches. There’s so much to do in Myrtle Beach but not enough time for a few days.
Some people book a monthly rental to extend their Myrtle Beach vacation. You’ll benefit from monthly rentals in Myrtle Beach in the winter and spring. These rentals come with numerous perks you won’t find in the summer and fall.
Here are some reasons to book monthly rentals in Myrtle Beach.
You Can Find Many Activities in Myrtle Beach
We mentioned Myrtle Beach comes with 60 miles of beaches. However, the popular destination is not only for beach lovers. You can find many activities in Myrtle Beach.
The Carolina Opry hosts many musical performances. The two-hour award-winning show is popular among tourists and locals. After the Opry, you can get extra entertainment at the Alabama Theater.
You can also visit Ripley’s Aquarium. The 85,000 square foot aquarium contains many of the sea’s wonders.
The kid-friendly destination also comes with the Big Air Trampoline Park. It’s exactly what it sounds like: you jump around on trampolines. You’ll get in a great exercise and form many memories.
Monthly Rentals In Myrtle Beach Cost Less in the Offseason
Myrtle Beach comes to life towards the end of the spring. Capitalizing on the off-season lets you secure lower prices. The offseason will help with your monthly rental budget.
Saving money on your Myrtle Beach vacation lets you extend it. You can stay for a month instead of two weeks. You can visit more attractions and use the saved rental money.
A Myrtle Beach Vacation Lets You Escape Freezing Temperatures
Snowbirds will rejoice in Myrtle Beach’s weather. Not only does the destination come with attractions, but you can ditch the jacket and scarf.
Myrtle Beach has a respectable temperature in the winter. You’ll find 60-70°F days throughout the winter.
These temperatures beat most of the northern US during wintertime. You can relax on the beach in your shorts while your other northeast friends freeze. Who wants 30°F when you can have 70°F instead?
More Time to Plan
Imagine you only had 24 hours in Myrtle Beach. What would you do?
Would you forgo the beach to watch a performance in the Opry? Would you go on the beach without exploring the rest of the area? You miss out on a lot by only staying for 24 hours.
Most people stay at Myrtle Beach for a few days. However, they still miss out on many of the vacation destination’s charm.
Some people cram their days with many sites. Rushing to check off each item can make the vacation feel stressful instead of enjoyable. Booking Myrtle Beach rentals for the month gives you more time to spread out the activities.
You aren’t rushing. You are enjoying Myrtle Beach at a slower pace.
You won’t stress if you deviate from the plan. You have 30 days instead of seven days to do everything.
Find the Best Monthly Rentals In Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach is calling out to you. Our sprawling beaches would love to welcome you. Chances are you want to visit or come back again.
Are you thinking about escaping to the beach? Can you already feel the wind in your hair and smell the salty air? Then there’s no better place than Myrtle Beach to plan for a beach vacation! If your family is tired of the winter snow and wants to experience the freshness of the sea breeze, then head on over to Myrtle Beach to experience all the many wondrous activities and attractions here.
The best part is that you don’t even have to spend a lot of money on your Myrtle Beach vacation, and if you are smart, you can easily save money here. So, what are you waiting for? Get out those flip flops and shorts that have been packed away and head on over to this coastal paradise that offers 60 miles of beach, endless activities for the family, and pleasant weather.
Planning a trip to the beach is always exciting, but it can be easy to overlook some of the most obvious things in the middle of the excitement. You don’t want to ruin your Myrtle Beach vacation by forgetting the simple things, which is why we have gathered some tips from repeat visitors and locals to help you make the most of your Myrtle Beach vacation.
1. Pack a Lot of Sunscreen
Sunscreen is something you shouldn’t ever travel without when you’re visiting the beach. You don’t want to get a sunburn and be miserable for the rest of the vacation. So be generous with the sunscreen when applying it to your body, even if it is a cloudy day. Keep on reapplying the sunscreen throughout the day, especially if you are going swimming, and ensure you protect all of your skin.
Most people tend to forget that they need to apply sunscreen on the tops of their feet, their ears, and the tops of their bald heads. There are plenty of tourists who don’t pack enough sunscreen for their Myrtle Beach vacation and then end up walking around with sunburns. Don’t make the same mistake.
2. Hunt for Bargains
A good deal is always around the corner for the savvy shopper, and in the current economy, you know that every dollar counts. The good news is that there are plenty of ways you can save money while you’re at the beach. You can check out the lobby of your hotel for discounts and coupon books that will help you save money.
Another great tip is to look for kids-eat-free deals and early-bird specials when dining out at restaurants. You should also pack snacks and lunch to have at the beach, which will allow you to splurge when you go out for dinner later in the evening.
3. Don’t Miss the Sunrise
One thing that we absolutely recommend to all families that are visiting Myrtle Beach is to experience at least one sunrise here. Sure, the last thing you want to do on vacation is wake-up early or to an alarm clock, but some things are worth it. When you wake up early and see the majestic sunrise over the beach, you will realize it is a sight you wouldn’t want to miss.
You don’t even have to get dressed up and go down to the beach to experience it, even though that is something that we would recommend. Most people prefer to enjoy the view from their hotel balcony, and the best part is that you can always take a nap in the afternoon.
4. Don’t Pack Your Schedule
There’s no doubt that the list of things to do in Myrtle Beach are countless, and you can easily overwhelm yourself if you try to do too many things. Myrtle Beach has plenty of attractions that will keep you busy, and it’s impossible to try and see all of them in one trip. So, don’t pack your schedule completely with stuff, as you’re simply going to go through the motions without enjoying it.
The point of your vacation is that you can relax and take in everything that Myrtle Beach has to offer, but that doesn’t mean that you burn yourself out. Take the stress out of trying to see everything and pick some must-see/to-do activities while saving the rest for next time. After all, once you come to Myrtle Beach for your vacation, you’ll want to come back again.
5. Bring Multiple Sunglasses
This might seem a strange suggestion to some, but when you see the number of sunglasses left behind at the beach or the pool, you can see why it is recommended. Most repeat visitors advise that it is wise to bring multiple pairs of sunglasses so that even if you lose one pair, you have another pair of sunglasses with you.
Make sure that you don’t bring expensive sunglasses with you or some that you wouldn’t be heartbroken to lose. It’s very easy to lose sunglasses on vacation, as you can absent-mindedly leave them behind in the restaurant or get them washed away in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
6. Take Family Pictures
When you’re all relaxed as a family, tanned in the sun, and sitting together to enjoy the beautiful views of the beach, don’t let the moment pass you by. Get a professional to capture the beautiful moments so that you can cherish them for a long time. You don’t need to hire a professional photographer for that, but don’t forget to take lots of pictures as a family.
You came to make new memories at your Myrtle Beach vacation, and taking plenty of pictures allows you to something you can look back at and remember the great time you had here.
7. Reward Good Service
There are plenty of resorts and restaurants that will provide you with excellent services throughout your Myrtle Beach vacation. You should appreciate that and be kind to the waiters and staff at your hotel and restaurant by being generous with the tip. Most employees in the service industry will bend over backward to provide you with excellent service and help you enjoy your vacation, and you should reward them for their efforts.
Good service should always be rewarded, and when you tip generously, you are going to be remembered the next time that you come to vacation at Myrtle Beach. That will ensure you get the same great service as last time, and your experience isn’t going to be hampered in any way.
8. Be Cautious On the Road
The roads can get very crowded during the height of the summer season at Myrtle Beach, as there are thousands of people. Locals and visitors will be trying to get around town, and you must take that into account when planning your activities or when visiting attractions. Leave plenty of extra time to get to your destination, especially when visiting in the summer season.
You should always watch out for motorists and other pedestrians on the road as well. A good piece of advice is to use alternate routes whenever that is possible to help save time and allow you to reach your destination without getting stuck in traffic.
9. Do Your Research
You’ll need to have excellent research skills if you want to make the most of your Myrtle Beach vacation. There are so many activities and attractions here, making it impossible for people to visit all of them in one trip. There is also great variety when it comes to the resorts in Myrtle Beach, and you will need to choose one that best fits your budget and your needs.
So, make sure you compare all the amenities offered by the vacation rentals, along with the rates being charged. That will allow you to book a condo that is ideally located and not far away from the amenities and attractions you want to visit in Myrtle Beach.
10. Enjoy and Relax at the Beach
The number one attraction in Myrtle Beach is the beach, and there are plenty of fun activities that you can enjoy right here. So, soak it all up and enjoy it to the full because Myrtle Beach is a destination that allows you to make the most of your vacation. Thousands of visitors visit Myrtle Beach every year, so make sure that you plan your vacation, keeping that in mind.
If you don’t want to interact with many people, then plan a visit in the off-season, as that is when you won’t have to deal with a lot of crowds. This will mean you get to enjoy the beach and relax in comfort with fewer people around so that you can make the most of your Myrtle Beach vacation.

Myrtle Beach in South Carolina is renowned as a vacation
spot that the entire family can enjoy, but it can get expensive when you factor
in entertainment for everyone. When you’re on a family vacation, you need to
get the most out of the money you’re spending. This is the reason why we have
come up with a list of free things you can do at Myrtle Beach. These include
the following options:
·
Check out the Beach
Of course! The beach is the main reason why you have decided to visit! With over 60 miles of gorgeous, pristine white sand it’s no surprise why Myrtle Beach is one of the top destinations on the entire East Coast. Not only is the beach fantastic in front of your vacation rental, there’s also miles of unspoiled and undeveloped oceanfront located right down the road at Huntington Beach State Park. At Huntington Beach State Park, there’s tons of wildlife such as water fowl, otters, sea turtles, and especially alligators! You’ll be able to take a stroll through the live oaks and pines as you make your way to Atalaya Castle, a 1930’s Moorish-style castle with exceptional views. There is also camping, picnic areas, and perfectly located across from the gorgeous Brookgreen Gardens. Check it out here: https://southcarolinaparks.com/huntington-beach

Parks
Myrtle Beach has a lot of great parks nearby that are
beautiful and provide you with the ideal spot to relax during the day. The low
country is known for beautiful rivers, lakes, ponds and live oaks. You’ll be
able to escape the hustle and bustle of tourists looking for entertainment as
you watch the wind lazily play with the hanging Spanish moss. There are dozens
of parks with playgrounds and picnic areas where you can sit and let the kids
have fun during the day. You can check out Grand Park or Valor Park, where you
can stroll around the lakes and have fun on the playgrounds. Many parks on the
Grand Strand can be reserved for family and group events and are quite
inexpensive.
There is also the Vereen Memorial Historical Gardens that have more than 100 acres of amazing vegetation and wildlife for you to explore. Here, there’s plenty of shaded paths to explore amongst the live oaks and there’s plenty of opportunities to spot deer, raccoon, and possum tracks on the sand. Ask a local how you can do some crabbing or simply relax on the shell beach along the waterway and marsh. There’s family swing sets that overlook the marsh as well as a picnic area. Vereen Gardens is also very pet friendly, so be sure to bring fido! https://scgreatoutdoors.com/park-vereengardens.html
Also, be sure to check out Savannah’s Playground located in
the Market Commons. Savannah’s Playground is free and open to any one, the
playground is named after Savannah Thompson, a Myrtle Beach native with
Williams Syndrome who is actively involved in the Grand Strand community. It’s
proudly the Southeast’s first “Enabling Playground” where all equipment is ADA
approved and children of all needs can socially interact and have a great time.
It’s a multi-acre park that is perfect for a great day of inexpensive
entertainment and fun. Being in the heart of the Market Commons, it’s a great
place to play, relax and then get lunch, dinner, or a movie. Check it out here:
