Should You Rent a Condo Near Myrtle Beach Waterfront?

Ocean Boulevard, better known as the waterfront of Myrtle Beach, is the hottest and most happening place to be in the coastal city. The coastal city oversees 14 million tourists annually, which gets to show that finding a place to stay in Myrtle Beach will not be much of a problem.
Of all the rentals available at Myrtle Beach, condos top the chart as they sell out quicker than any other type of accommodation, especially during the holiday season. And to be more specific, condos at the Ocean Boulevard sell out the quickest because, well they’re facing the spectacular beach! So is renting a condo at the waterfront a good idea?
Why Waterfront Condo
Myrtle Beach waterfront condos are designed with open floor plans since it’s a tourist destination. This allows the homeowners to make adjustments to the apartments based on what the customers need. For example, if your friends are throwing you a birthday party at Myrtle Beach (surprise!), then they can call in and ask the homeowner to make a birthday party theme before you even get there. Rental accommodation is a booming business in the coastal city of South Carolina and the waterfront is the leader of the pack.
With a waterfront condo, you will have easy accessibility to all the things that Myrtle Beach has to offer. The Broadway at the Beach, Boardwalk, the Aqua Park, resorts, pubs, nightclubs, and shopping districts are all located near the Ocean Boulevard. This puts you at a walking distance to the best things to do at Myrtle Beach. If you want to discover other places, then public transport is readily available across the waterfront. All in all, if you’re getting a waterfront condo for rent, then there should be no reason to say no!
Why Not Waterfront Condo
There aren’t many reasons as to why you shouldn’t get a condo on Ocean Boulevard for rent. Well, one of the reasons why you can’t rent a condo at Myrtle Beach is when you make a booking during peak season. The peak season typically lasts throughout the summer and sees more tourists than all other months combined. So if you’re renting during the peak season, then there’s a high chance that you might not be able to book a condo.
A major reason why some tourists don’t like renting condos at the Ocean Boulevard is because of the rates. To be fair, the rates at waterfront are higher than any other place in town in almost all coastal cities of the world. And during peak seasons, even the rental rates plummet to high levels. Our advice is that you book a place early, ideally one to two months before your visit. This way, you will have a place to stay right after you land in Myrtle Beach, and you won’t have to pay the sky high rates for it.
To sum it up, we would recommend that you first have a look at what Ocean Boulevard rental condos have to offer. This will give you a fair idea of whether you’re getting your money’s worth or not.
